ALL pets must arrive in a carrier or on a leash. NO EXCEPTIONS!

 

Please make sure your dog “goes potty” before you bring them in for grooming. If you need to walk them in the yard here that is fine as long as they are leashed.

 

How do I book an appointment with you?

There are two different ways you may contact us to book an appointment! The easiest way is to go online to our Appointments page.  There you will select what type of grooming (haircut or no haircut) you would like, the size of your pet, and then you see our availability on the calendar. Select the day you would like and scroll down to see the times. Select the time you like and then it will gather your information on the next page.  You will also have the ability to reschedule or cancel your appointment easily through this method.

 Alternately, you may give us a call at 864-381-7387.  Please keep in mind that no matter what form of communication you choose, we need your pet’s breed & age in order to schedule our day properly.  Also, we now require a debit/credit card (kept securely & privately in Square Register) in order to book an appointment, regardless of contact method, due to our cancellation policy - see below.

 

 My dog bites. Will you groom him/her?

We do NOT groom BITERS or dogs that require vet medication to be groomed! Contact us if you have concerns about your dog being hard to handle or other groomers have refused future service to your pet. We can assess the situation and may decide to do a trial groom.  If we are unable to complete the groom, we can recommend local groomers who can work to train/re-train your pet to allow grooming. You will still be required to pay a service fee for special handling, up to and possibly more than the full groom fee.  If you book an appt online w/o telling us your dog is a known biter and/or requires medication to be groomed, we will refuse service and charge you the "cancellation" fee.

 

 What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Cash or the 4 Major Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) via Square Register.  There is NO fee to you for using credit/debit and we highly encourage you to use them & earn your miles/rewards with us! We do not  currently accept checks, either personal or business.

 

What is the earliest/latest I can bring/pickup my pet?

Business hours are Monday - Wednesday, 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Thursday 8:00am to 2:00pm; however we can take drop-offs as early as 7:30am and pickups as late as 5:45pm (Mon-Wed only). Please see the next question if your pet will need to stay all day.

 

What if my pet needs to arrive early AND pickup late because I work all day? Aka DAYCARE

We can accommodate a pet for daycare after grooming if needed. However this is limited to certain days of the week due to limited kennel space and staffing requirements. There will be an additional $20 fee for daycare added to the groom pricing.  If this is your situation, please give us details when booking online. If we have not been told of the extended care prior to the date of your grooming, then we cannot guarantee available space and may refuse to accept your pet for intake.  (We do not accept pets for doggie daycare alone – a groom must be the primary reason for an appointment.)

 

What is the Cancellation Policy?

 All appointments during regular business hours/days are subject to the Cancellation Policy, which states an appointment must be cancelled ONE (1) HOUR prior to the start of the grooming appointment. Cancellation may be received via Call, Text, Email or Reschedule/Cancellation through the online booking tool.  Failure to provide at least one hour notice, or no notice at all, will result in a charge of 100% of your selected grooming services for that missed appointment.  *During Major Holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) all appointments must be cancelled TWO (2) DAYS prior to the start of the grooming appointment or a 100% total of the expected grooming services will be due. These charges will automatically be deducted from the credit/debit card you provided during scheduling.

 

WHY do you have a Cancellation Policy & charge $$$?

I have enough clients now that I have hired bathers to work with me in order to get more dogs done throughout the day.  I have to pay my bathers regardless of whether or not a client shows up for an appointment; therefore, I have implemented the cancellation policy to avoid “no-shows” and the effect it would have on my expenses.

 

How long will I need to leave my pet?

Typically a small dog with good coat condition and well behaved manners takes two hours from start to finish. The larger the dog the longer it takes and coat condition and temperament will also add time.  We aim to not keep a pet longer than necessary but please understand that working with living animals is unpredictable and sometimes it takes longer to clean up potty accidents than it does to actually groom!

 

So what time do I pickup my pet?

Again, pet grooming is precisely unpredictable! We will give you a time estimate upon your arrival and the best thing you can do is wait for our call that your pet is ready. If you show up prior to being called it is very likely to upset your pet (seeing you gets them excited!) and can complicate or prevent the groom from being completed. If this does occur, you will still be responsible for paying the full grooming price.
