Hi! My name is April Williams. Please allow me to introduce myself. I offer pet grooming with 2019 technology and 1950’s customer service!
I attended Greenville Technical College's Small Animal Care (aka pet grooming) program in 2006 - 2007 and immediately began working in the grooming industry. I have almost nine years experience as I took a two year break to go drive across county in an 18-wheeler. But I have returned to Spartanburg to restart my passion working with pets. Recently, I became certified in "Pet Tech" Pet CPR & First Aid; my certification expires in March 2019.
I opened up Native Canine as a grooming salon within my home in 2014 with an original goal of being mobile within six months to a year. After being in business over three years, I have relocated into my home town of Boiling Springs and my grooming salon is now in a remodeled garage attached to my home! No mobile truck for me - I definitely prefer the stationary salon!
I have read extensively about natural dog care and I am applying the knowledge more & more. The shampoos and conditioners I have selected to use in the salon are non-toxic, biodegradable, environmentally friendly, pH balanced and paraben free. I will also be guiding you to other products that are "eco" oriented, such as foods, flea & tick treatments, beds, leashes and collars.
I chose the name Native Canine in reference to the wolf. I want to get back to the roots of when dogs began. Not that I think dogs should be banned to the edge of the yard, but that the environment we provide for them should be the best possible; without all the chemicals & preservatives they are exposed to today! I am finding natural alternatives to just about every aspect of pet care. As stated above, the holistic culture is a learning process for me and I intend to share with anyone that will listen.
